A complete Grade 4 English Home Language & First Additional Language Term 3 Creative Writing Project that guides learners through research, writing and oral presentation, with clear instructions and assessment rubrics included.
The project includes:
- Phase 1: Research & Poster – 10 marks: learners investigate “What makes a good character in a story?”, research character qualities and create a colourful A3 poster using examples of favourite characters.
- Phase 2: Creative Writing – 30 marks: learners create and describe their own story character in a 6–8 sentence paragraph, including appearance, personality, behaviour, adjectives and figurative language. The full writing process of planning, drafting, editing and final copy is assessed.
- Phase 3: Oral Presentation – 20 marks: learners present their character to the class in a 1–2 minute oral, using cue cards and their poster or picture as a visual aid.
Includes detailed rubrics for the poster, creative writing and oral presentation.
